April Snow in Georgia - They say that "April showers bring May flowers" - but what about April snow showers. We got an usually late snow shower in the higher elevations around Chattanooga last night. The following photos were taken at Covenant College around 10 PM on April 13, 2004.

The Ibach Singers - Ethan and Sydney sang in a youth quartet at Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church at the church's Friday evening Easter service. They did a fine job with it, augmenting a very fine service.

Silver Comet Trail - The Silver Comet Trail is a Rails-to-Trails project, the conversion of what was a portion of the rail line between Atlanta and Birmingham into a paved walking/biking/skating/horse trail (actually for much of the distance the horse trail is off to the side.) The railroad was the path of the Silver Comet passenger train that ran until the 60's, I think.

Ernie and Lynda Brown, Andy Perkins, Cindy, and I pedaled our bicycles (Yes, Cindy and I finally got back in the saddle!) out and back on a 9-mile stretch of the trail last Saturday.

Here is a photo of a road trestle over the trail.
